Janice 'Bug' Uhde

My name is Joe Ford and I am a musician from Louisville, Kentucky.
In 1998 my significant other, Janice "Bug" Uhde was diagnosed with cancer.
Her father and both of her brothers are physicians, so the battle began against what they wanted and what she wanted.
She agreed to chemotherapy, but it made her so ill the "cure" was worse than the disease.
Finally she made me her health care surrogate and I took her to a dear friend of mine who is an oncologist.
This man is not just a physician however, he treats the whole person. When medical science fails this man will tell you the "real deal". He told Bug that he could keep her alive for maybe 6 or 9 months with chemo, but he told her it was poison and if he were her, he would seek out a holistic healer and live the rest of his life in peace rather than suffer the poison he could give. We play music in this man's chemo clinic every week (he said the music is as much of the cure as the meds...sometimes more so).
I am attaching a painting Bug did while we were jamming at the chemo clinic (my best friend and music partner of 32 years is the guy on the left in the painting...I am in the middle).
She also painted murals on the walls of the hospital when she was getting her chemo.
Bug and Ralph (my pal) have both gone "home" now, but they are still helping others, even from the grave.
I hope you can post this photo. It was the very first "impressionist" painting she did...all of her other paintings were almost like photographs they were so life like.

.    The poison they were giving her really messed up her eyes and she was so depressed that she "could not" paint.
I told her to paint her cancer and this is what came out.
It is by far the best painting she ever did.
I hope you can use it on your site.
    Thank you. Blessings!
                     Joe
