Oct. 22-2001 Am trying to add more - yesterday was a fun, but beating day. It was the first time since sometiime in May I haven’t picked up a needle for business. Stan, our landlord ,had given us some wonderful used carpet from one of his rentals.. The blue color is soothing for me and it covers about 2/3 of the main garage room. So yesterday Frank & I hauled all the furniture out and pulled up what mauve carpet pieces we had in there- and laid the blue carpet- then I steamcleaned it, and we resest the furniture- it IS much more soothing and comfortable! Since the Blue doesn’t cover everything, we will strip the edges with the mauve carpet we have. It will definately be warmer this winter!! And we have a “patchwork carpet”. Kayla and I made Oatmeal/ Choco chip cookies (limit 1 each for desert)- she had too much fun decorating with scary faces with the chips! But she Really had more fun outside with the dogs and getting B-Flat filthy!!!! After supper and they went home, I was still wound from the choco and sugar(not a regular in my diet) so I proceeded to steam clean the carpet in my shop. About 12:30 AM I decided I better pack it in , and am still paying for too many hours yesterday! Have gotten all the DC work that came in today done- but will be glad when my hemmer is back, as my hands are paying for the hand work. Am trying to get caught up on my “shop” work- slowly but surely I will!! Of course today we needed an extra aggravation- my upper plate cracked... Frank went and got some repair kit stuff- as we really don’t have the few thousand it will cost to replace it. even repairs are outrageous, by the time you pay a dentist over $100 to say “yep. they need to be fixed!” and he sends it to the lab and you pay for that! Even though I know the lab that made these toofies-, by NV law I can’t just go there and ask them to repair them- have to go through a dentist! A bunch of BS... Especially since the dentist that made them (second dentist- second set in 10 years) has retired. At least this set lasted longer than than the first set. And I’m sure it has something to do with my body chemistry eating the plastic up. Who knows? But we don’t have $ to replace them right now- so I can see alot of soft foods and soups in my future- which is ok as I like both! |
