11/20/00 Tired- work Too busy. Rich Hosselkus came in to give word from Jodi, about Noni Juice and clinics and new tests available. Unfortunately, we don’t have the $ or insurance to deal with those multi-thousands of dollars. But AT LEAST Jodi is getting better- and by no matter what means- That’s ALL that’s important!! Frank called right before lunch- he found CaliCat in the South forty- just kinda crouching by the fence- he said he could tell she was dying... called Vet- she wouldn’t be in until 3- so he is waiting for me to come home to take her there. What could hit a critter so fast... sounds like poisoning! Got home and rushed her the 10 minutes to the vet. Her temp was 10 degress below normal, dehydrated and anemic, yet I Know she ate Sat. night and saw her once at her bowls on Sunday. Dr. covered the viruses it could be that you couldn’t vaccinate for, but don’t react this fast and I asked about poisoning- it looked like others I had seen, and I told her where we lived and how close the coyotes came in. She sighed and said it looked like antifreeze poisoning, and said people have been lacing meat with antifreeze for the coyotes. Anitfreeeze is like candy smell to cats and dogs...strictly irrissistable! Cat was fading fast and in alot of pain as she was crying-whimpering which kitties never do- and the Vet said she wouldn’t make it through the night - no matter what we tried.. so we just helped her to the next side to ease her pain. She SURE was a good pound kitty, and helped Roc to pull out of his funk when Zac crossed over. She never was a cuddly critter- but you could always hear her purr box going the minute she hit the door of the room you were in- and she liked the foot part of the bed. Happy Hunting Fuzz Bucket! Got letter from Cindy and she has gotten call from Michael (after he called Jay and got No info). Basically he didn’t want to hear she was scared- but believes in my faith- and he was going to convince me to get myself to a medical Dr. and get myself taken care of. Apparently he hasn’t read this site - to understand why I am how I am, I haven’t heard from him at all. I guess if you stick your head in the sand, you can spout off all you want? I Really hurt for Cindy- that she has to deal with me, her own feeling and fears, and then other crap . |
