Been really busy- between shop and critters.
I did locate a new Chiropractor with hours more condusive to mine, and closer than before. I am comfortable with her, she seems to be a gentle person. We will see after another visit or two. If not, will search some more. But after 6 months without an adjustment- I was in dire need.
Sure felt alot better this past week- in spite of what I do to my poor ole’ body. Seems to be hanging in there- no better, no worse... so I can’t complain. Just have to remember to occasionally take time for a good sweaty bath , and time to commune with other places. Those 2 things - more than anything else seem to keep me healthy, stable and here.
It was bitter cold(teens and lower at night) , the past few weeks- 40-50’s days, with BEAUTIFUL Sunsets! But Tuesday started to warm up as the clouds and winds rolled in. We are now experiencing our first “Winter Storm”- snow up the hill - in the Sierras and blessed rain here.
The yard and goaties yard is now saturated after almost 4 hours of rain- but who’s complaining. They are saying snow here by Sat. we’ll see- but Any moisture after 3 years of drought is welcome.
The dogs aren’t too fond of going out to go- but Tako Nee goes where I go- so we go! So far water doesn’t seem to phase him too much- I am a bit concerned as his tummy is a bit touchy right now- but his eyeteeth(fangs) are ALL swollen- he’s teething, so don’t want him to catch a cold. But with his good coat- it’s better to take him out for a few- and dry him off rather than clean up after him :)
The goaties Finally went inside tonight..have been hanging out side even during the bitter cold. But they aren’t stupid- they go inside when they think it’s needed. We did move their hay and food inside- otherwise it’s a wet waste. Frank spent a couple days running an electric Water Bucket heater out to them- after a few days of frozen water and the hot water he would carry out freezing almost immediately.
The cable went down tonight due to the storm, I’m sure...therefore no TV or internet, but that’s ok- I can write here- without a connection, and have a magnificent CD library. So have hauled out alot of Robbie Robinson and other Native Artists, while I did dishes and now here. Relaxing and good for the soul stuff. Need that every now and then- especially the Indian Flute when played by Nakai.
Alot is lining up for the coming year- kids’ operations, wedding, plus just life! And who said I would have time to get bored? I have been trying for a week now to get some “fall” cleaning done now that we’ve shut down and sealed the Big door for the winter. I have my shop about 1/2 done. At this rate I may finish all of the Shop, Great Room and maybe Trailer by spring! Oh well!
Have a good weekend and Vet’s Day.
