May 3, Since the Sun is up earlier- I don’t see too many sunrises these days- but Father Sun on my face is a comfort as I drive in. Rick started again on me leaving- and after a week- a couple times a day- I told him I was tired of discussing it- they had made their decision, and since I had to stay to end of month- I didn’t want to discuss it anymore! I wanted it to go back to where it was last week- he’d come through- we’d chitchat and he’d be on his way. I was NOT going to put up with a month of stress over this. They did what they felt they had to do, and I would do what I have to do. Then I reminded him that by Law- they should’ve been paying either 1 1/2 pay or comp time for OT. And Karen(the Acct.) told this to them over a year ago. They haven’t- in fact since they choose to not pay me holidays- I have been using my vacation time a day at a time to have a full paycheck when there is a holiday. I realize this is a small business- but Geez- if you have honest hardworking employees- you make a little effort to keep them! Anyway- when he came back later- it was back to normal. So maybe I can tolerate the next 4 weeks a tad better. Frank has made a flyer for me and I have been giving them to my tailoring customers. And most are happy for me except that they’ll miss me there. And me them too! Called Dr. Azzam- as I got Pathology lab bill yesterday(almost $200.00), spoke to them about turning it over to the progam to pay- and wanted to verify with Dr. A. Anyway we talked a while- even though he is a busy man- and he is working on legislature to get Alternative Health Care Practitioners licensed. Also wants me to work on his task force to talk to women about taking control of their own health- and not to be depending on the AMA to Tell them what to do! Sounds like a Great way to help some other people- and a good outlet for my enthusiam! No pay- but who cares!!! My G- girls are doing great- Nicci called last night and Lea had to tell me about going potty all by herself- and Daria told me about a play she was to be in! I really miss them, and wish I could get Nic and Greg to get off the AMA stuff and into more nutritional stuff- but.... |
