5/13/01 It has been a hellacious past couple of weeks! We have been Extremely busy at work- and I have SO much tailoring to do! Between the route, the store, and the plant-I hope I can get it all done before 6/1/01- Deadline day! Plus I am starting to get some outside work-to do at home- from Frank’s connections. I still get tired easily, and still ache- wonder if the the biopsy broke the encapsulation? But it was benign...have to ask John soon about that! Mother’s Day was Glorious! Yesterday Chris and Jay-(Frank had a window job to do) loaded me into Chris’ convertible, and after we got over the hill into decent weather- we rolled back the top and cruised into Fairfield, CA. Had lunch and a couple of cervesas at Chevy’s(good stuff by the way if you go for the mushroom wraps). Then We stopped at a (prearranged ) fishmarket and picked up 2 bushels of Fresh oysters. And I grabbed some frozen New Zealand Mussels to use later. We took the scenic route back- what better way to enjoy a Marvelous day in No. Calif. with a convertible!!! Stopped in the middle of a strawberry patch that had a stand, and got some REAL strawberries, so warm and sweet and no sprays!! Does life get any better than that? Saw a park next to a river we thought about stopping at- but knew Chris and I wouldn’t want to leave- so passed until another time. Am so glad Steve told Chris about this sideroad! It's almost felt like NJ. Humidity and all. I spent almost 8 hrs. just riding and enjoying- is this what relaxing is all about? |
