May 9, 2002 Frank has been too busy to get the above up on the net- and as already established- that is not my forte’- so will just add this on and maybe this weekend it will go up. busy for us both- that is why the lapses in my writing. I have tickets to go to Nicci’s Graduation this week. I leave on the 16th and come home on the 19th. Her treat! It will Really be good to see them again- 3 years is Too long. And a wierd past 3 years it has been. I have been trying to get outfits made for the girls( and hopefully for Nicci and Greg)- but naturally it has been Xtra busy for the shop! I am going to get a Living Will and Will written before I leave (we have a program- and can just print it out) and have them notorized- don’t know why- I am not afraid of flying, or death or anything like that- but just feel it’s something I should do. Don’t want to have anyone have to make decisions for me, I quess. It’s been on my mind since Chris’ operation- and Frank has already filled out his. Chris is doing super well, and is taking Kayla and I on the “Oyster Run” to Fairfield, CA. on Sat. for the Oyster BBQ on Sunday for Mother’s Day. We’ll do the tour of the farmlands coming home, and hopefully find some strawberries in the field like last year. It’s supposed to be nice weather both days- so it should be great! We asked Frank and Jay to go- but Jay has to work- and Frank said it should be a Mom and Kids thing. Speaking of Jay- he was asked to accompany Paul Sorvino in a local filming of a new movie. What a thrill! And they had a lot in common. Apparently P.Sorvino is an opera singer- just up Jay’s alley. We’ll see if it goes anywhere- if not- he has it for his memoirs. But he deserves the recognition! We got the rest of the kitchen installed last week. Our woodman/salvedgeman Jim , found a beautifull counter, cabinets and stainless sink for us- saving a couple hundred dollars. And they look new! ‘cept for a small ding on one door- which a little paint will hide! We had already found faucets at Home Depot on sale that were the high ones I wanted with sprayer- for all the big pots and things...And the sinks are extra deep...When Frank installed the cabinet- he brought the whole thing up a few inches so it is waist high for me. It is so great not to have to bend over a sink anymore- like in the trailer and previous homes. It sure save on the back strain- so I don’t mind doing dishes anymore. Okay, I think that is about it- I am tired- but it has been a busy few weeks with more to come- I guess I can rest on the plane, eh? I should be sewing outfits right now, but am too tired from too many hours on that machine- and am headed for bath and then bed. Tomorrow or next are other days. I still don’t have full energy right now- but allergy season is in full swing- and that really drains me- and causes my body to need to flush more than ever. But the grass is growing, the wildflowers are blooming and the hummingbirds are visiting the feeders! And the stars are magnificent! What more could one ask for? Enjoy your spring folks- summer is around the corner- and it may be HOT and dry! |
