Happy Father’s Day to all Gents who read this !
Jay took us to breakfast yesterday for Father’s Day, and Chris called from NJ this
morning. I’m sure Nicci will call later this afternoon, when she gets home from her
Dad’s.
It is a pleasant day out there- but headed again for the 90’s. Oh well, just scary when so
early in season. The neighbors across the street are having quite the Fiesta. The cars are
now slopping over to our side of the highway after they filled up their acre! Glad to see
folks having a good time- but wish the ”boompa” music wasn’t quite SO LOUD! It’s
been going since early this AM and will continue well into night- and it is literally
vibrating our residence. I am sorry about complaining- but it gets old after a while- and
lately it’s constant- day and night, and I Know Rob and DeDe are having trouble
sleeping- (they work graveyard)they are right next door to it.
Went to the first “Rollin’ on the River” concert of the season on Friday night. The City
of Reno and some other sponsers provide free concerts at Winfield Park(a small island in
the middle of the Truckee River- right downtown. ). It has a great ampitheater with good
acoustics, Michelle Shocked- one of my favorites was there- and she played some rockin’,
funky stuff we hadn’t heard before. The audiences went from newborn to Ancients and
all were enjoying and bopping to the music. Great show- and the venue under the stars is
great! Nice break from here- and a lot cooler.
