What a busy day! Markings and deliveries this AM- Work this afternoon. No sewing tonight! The little diggers are still working on the mass- but the achy pain has been virtually gone since last week. Made the dogfood yesterday. Boiled down a turkey carcass (for now on I’ll use other meats- but this was handy) Cooked some lentils in the broth- added some oatmeal and leftover rice, some carrots and garlic ,a little dried milk and brewers yeast. all the bases were covered. Next time I will use bonemeal or crushed-dried egg shells for the calcium instead of the milk- but hadn’t bought that yet. I fed the “kids” equal amounts of the kibbles(to ease them in slowly) and the fresh mix. Boy you should’ve seen them chow! If there were paintings on the bowls- they would’ve gotten them off too! Did my heart good! And they slept better last night too! Frank said it smelled so good- he was going to put his bowl next to theirs- not a prob- nothing in their to hurt him anyway! Mary Anne Teller was by on Sunday afternoon with a pile of stuff to be done before Thurs. And plus what I collected- looks like I’ll be busy. |
