It has been a hectic past few weeks. Chris is healing well, and the family is doing great! Kayla got the “tree” decorated on the wall. We not only have some trim, we also have a Santa Claus, Angel flying in upside down, a church and cross and on the tree- a red bird and a reindeer.

Had a Bodacious winter storm the second week of Dec. Lots of snow and ice- which really didn’t leave until the day before Christmas. It was HIGH WINDS- 70-90 mph - 92 recorded at Stead(here). A LOT of damage done to a lot of neighbors. We were fairly lucky- no really big damage- and the critters did fine. But we all lost electric and/or cable for several days. And it was bitter cold for several days.
Naturally that’s when the heater in the trailer decided to go on the fritz. But the woodstove and Propane to cook with in the “great Room” worked just fine, the propane hot water in the trailer worked - and I have lots of candles and a couple of oil lamps- so it was not as bad for us as for others.
We offered for neighbors to come over to the warmth of the woodstove with their kids- but they either didn’t understand me- or chose to wait it out.
But now the heater is working again- so life goes on. But it was a BIT nippy in the trailer for a few days(nights) - amazing how long you can hold going to potty when Everything is COLD!! And you are snuggled under a few quilts! HEHEHE!
Christmas day and week was enjoyable with family, friends and good food. Lots of thoughtful gifts- candles, specially framed pictures- a new tub bubbler and a certificate for a massage. Food goodies- what more could a gal ask for?
I messed up my lower back and sciatic nerve Chrismas Eve- It is slowly but surely healing- just swollen and tender now, not the intense pain at the beginning. Then a relapse after an “adjustment” that put my bottom bones back where they belonged- so muscles and nerves screamed for a couple of days. I think it was my body forcing me to slow down a bit. Oh Well.
Finally got Cindy's and PG presents finished and mailed 12/27- but better late than never, I guess. They should be getting them anyday now. The Maine Girls and Kayla loved their robes- so soft and cuddly and warm. That was the intention-

Got more wood cut just before the last storm hit this week- several feet in the mountains now. We had 57 here today- and in 20’s nights. Crazy weather patterns all over the world. But we don’t have Global warming !Noooooooooo. And the politicians are trying their damdest to get a World War going!
The critters are growing still- Tako nee is over 50 lbs. now- growing taller and sturdier. Goes this month to be neutered (we Are responsible pet owners). The goatie Girls are not happy with the mud this weather has caused- they do NOT like wet feet and let us know about it- they just get bored in the barn and would rather be outside- afraid they might miss something. :)! And Kasha is still healthy and active over 100 lbs. now - in fact having Tako has brought back some puppy into our 2 year old girl.
I wish ALL the Happiest in this New Year, and Naturally, Health. Not much else that we Really need is there? Just our family, friends and love of them and life.
