Dec 28- 01 Hi- tried to do this a couple of days ago- but the ‘puter wasn’t cooperating- tried to do a short cut by cutting a CD that would load into “big” boy- but program dropped everything- oh well! Has been a hectic but good holiday! Have heard from some many new and old friends, and had most of family around. On Sunday 12-23-01 Frank had planned an “impromptu” cocktail party with some neighbors, family and friends. At 6:00 Reno time- 9:00 East time, just as we were getting going, my Sis in Fla. called wished us a Merry, Merry- and we all had a toast...Then she asked me when I was going to visit her and my smarty reply was”before I die” , then Frank handed me an envelope with an airticket to go see her for a few days the end of Jan. Needless to say I was speachless, and cried... and found out that the party wasn’t so “impromtu” as I had been led to believe. Most of Reno knew what was going on- as Frank had already made arrangements for that week with my 2 accounts... and apparently had been driving Chris and Jay crazy for over 3 weeks to make sure it all came off “perfect”! Well, it did! And I was totally surprised! What a wonderful gift! And So much planning by my CS, Frank and my family! I am a lucky woman! There were many other great things exchanged during the next few days- for Solstice a beautiful pair of opal/diamond earrings, and for Christmas.... lots of candles, scents ,Dinner Out and a BIG ole cast iron dutch oven I can use on the woodstove! I have a cast frypan- but it isn’t big enough to hold a roaster chicken or family sized roast- and the wood stove provides heat for warm and cooking! Got to talk to G-Girls in Maine and Nicci later in the day, it always feels good to hear their voices. Having spent the day with Kayla- and her happy ways- it just added to the day. It is actually early for me (9:12) but am beat- probably comedown from the past 2 months of pushing. So I am going to close this year- and am thankful I am able to do so!
