12-22-00 Such Glorious Sunrise Again! Hopefully have new employee lined up to start training this week. Busy, Busy and trying to finish tailoring for folks who need it by tonight. Everyone in a Great holiday mood. I would hope so! Stopped by to see John and Kelly to wish them a Great Holiday and to pick up some refills . John has alot of trusting patients as I am finding out from E-Mail! Well, he has Mine!!!! But I think I am the first totally alternative(no surgery/chemo/radiation). Just gonna have to prove what we believe in is a keeper,eh? Rosemary and Rick had gifts for us and even though I had tried to plan ahead, didn’t have theirs (or some other folks ) finished yet. But, We made Apricot muffins last night for them and families, so I didn’t feel so bad, and they understand. Ayla came by for a hug ( I really miss her since she doesn’t work for us anymore) and brought me a Wonderful “Solstice” present. She made it and it’s a fired and glazed clay double candle holder with a container in the middle for bathsalts. Naturally she supplied those too- and it happened to be from Bear Earth- a local Native lady who makes these marvelous products- I got hooked last year at the “Farmers’ Market” in Sparks. Guess where I’m heading... Got cravings for “seafood stew”, so had Frank yank the gallon of clam juice (saved from steamed clams this summer) out of the freezer, picked up some oysters, shrimps and canned clams and threw them with appropiate veggies into it with tomatoe-type broth and GLORY,GLORY!!! The broth and all were SO good. And We have TONS left over! Some to share, some for Xmas Eve and some to freeze.Life is good, if you know how to appreciate the gentle things. Have to work tomorrow- so better kick it... |
