12-17-00 We went out to breakfast and it Was good. Brought home enough of my Huevos Rancheros for lunch tomorrow. Had to stop to get pork butts on sale so I could make “carnitas” . Took that pork and after cuting off all the fat, and searing it with paprika rubbed into it, put it into pressure cooker with onions, garlic(poked into it) , oranges and apples- then let it go. Yes I know I shouldn’t eat this- but I only eat an oz. or so. Jason brought Jess over. She had lot’s of great stories, including her new engagement. Marriage to be this spring. She and hubby- to -be are both working on their PHD’S. It is fun to have watched the “kids” for many years, grow up. Chris and Kayla came for late afternoon and dinner. She was not up to herself and wanted to just play on the ‘ puter. That’s ok... she ate well, and tried to chime into the table talk. It has been a Long day and A LOT of work to get this dinner cooked and served. I am tired. |
