Dec 14- 01 I know it’s been a while since I have been up on my diary- I am sorry- but have been bustin’ butt trying to keep up on daily work, plus get Christmas presents made for family, especially the ones that need to be mailed back East. Nicci and family’s got mailed out this AM... bib overalls for the girls in a grape/beige striped denim and warm fleece vests for all. Plus lots of other games/goodies. More to follow to other locations after this weekend. hopefully will get there by Christmas- if not- they are adults and will understand. Have a contented ”Fuzz-bucket Cat “sleeping on my cutting table- got some good pics of her last night in her “helping” mood. Maybe we can figure out how to add one in here. We are dealing with a new computer as the old one decided not to connect with the “net” anymore. And since Frank takes care of a few websites, besides this one- it is a needed thing. So he went down and got another- so I have a new” old” one in the shop. It works good- just won’t connect... Go figure! Have had a lot of contact with some wonderful ladies through this site and links. All seem to be doing well! I WISH more folks would go to the Cancer Research site ! They are doing a lot of work - with NO grants, to find the reasons we are in these bad positions. And some donations would help. Or just some accolades. Some of us are beyond their help- but for the future ladies? Am feeling good other than pushing a bit too much, as is everyone over the holiday season. Was contacted by a great lady with the American Canceer Society- which is tied into the Nev. Women’s Wellness , and all the bills from April and my mammos/biopsy will be paid, and was reminded to go get another mammo to see where I am, as it has been over 7 months. Will do that after the new year. AM concerned about a friend - Rose who had to make an emergency trip back to Mass. for a best friend with massive lung/lymph/bone cancer. The friend is in her late 70’s and my friend is very protective. I miss her not being available to talk to and am worried about the situation she is in. It is tough going through that with a lifelong friend!!! And she really doesn’t have much support from folks back there. It has been a strange few days here weather wise- have had 3 snow storms in past week. We need the blessed moisture(does the DRI have something to do with that? seeding?) But we have had some Glorious sunsets in between the storms!!! The Salmons and Blues, and the golden light off the mountains!!! Reminds me of our first winter here(this time) of ‘89-90. Early moisture ,bitter cold, then melts: same with winter of 96/97- but that was the year of the BIG FLOOD on 1/1/97. We usually don’t get this cold this early- or this much wet- but it is a good thing- we need it! And we did have a gloriously long and beautiful Fall!! And my Christmas Cactus is still blooming and going strong! Life is good! A Warm and wonderful Holiday Season to All!!! And good health to all!!! |
