Dec, 9,02 It has been a busy and hard past couple of weeks. I tire easily- at least I think I do- until I sit down at end of day and reveiw my accomplishments., and usually more than I expected. Hopefully this is just getting older- and not anything else. But until the end I will just put one foot in front of other and plug away. Chris spinal operation was last Tuesday. He came through with flying colors- and the Drs. decided to send him home on Weds. Surprised us all considering it was MAJOR and life threatening surgery- but apparently by adding the bone and metal disc- it alleviates much of the hardships caused by not doing that ; like in the last surgery. He is recouping much faster this time. Just wish my work load and head had been to the point I could have spent more time with him. But he wasn’t zonked like last time- and he had friends with him and Frank or I were there each day. He is doing good- in just a week, tires after some exercise or normal life- but realizes that is the healing his body is doing and it will take a bit of time. Nicci has let me know she is finally going to get a hysterectomy after the New Year sometime. At least now she will get off the damn drugs and homones the Drs. have been giving her and will feel better. She’s had a rough few years with female problems. I would like to go and help her - but having been there- done that- I know it isn’t too bad. Plus her folks back there want to be there to help- and that IS NOT a comfortable situation where her father is concerned. And I have already made commitments many moons ago to help with Dusty and Becca’s wedding- and will be going there in Jan./Feb. and in May. I have already planned to TRY to go to Maine at the end of the summer. Hopefully things will work out that way. I miss seeing Nicci, Greg and my G-Girls- Daria and Lea . I feel bad that I can’t do All of what folks want me to- but I also have a business to run- in between the family stuff. And if I don’t do SOME business- there will BE no family stuff, or helping with bills, or eating on a regular basis. Have started to paint the Covering on the Garage door(Vinyl sheeting- comes down in spring) , with a winter scape- I’m not a good artist- but it’s fun- and I painted a BIG fir(Christmas) tree that Kayla is going to help me decorate- with paints this week. She is SO excited about that! Can’t have a real tree with the Cat and New Pup(Takonee) they just tend to distroy decorations. So we will have a Fun tree instead! And isn’t that what the holidays and paints are all about? Just have fun and be happy? Ok- It’s late- and I am beat- all the four-leggers have been weird these past couple days: The goat baaing ALL during daylight hours- in heat or Earthquake coming? And Kasha , Takonee and Fuss-Bucket acting just as strange- rub off from the Goats? I don’t know- but it will be nice to get some calm for a few hours. Hope all are having a GOOD time getting ready for the Winter season and Holidays! |
