Aug. 26 Has been a good day- got lots of work done- and the guys and Kayla came over for supper. She brings a smile whenever she arrives and you can’t help but join her joyful mood! The guys were playing darts and she had to be right in there - had a stick she was throwing- waiting for her turn(which was every other one!) Guess we’ll have to go find a kiddo dart board(velcro) for next weekend when she’s here and mount it right below the big dart board. I got lots of sewing done- including a dress for Kayla starting Kindergarten- she picked the material and pattern- still a little big on her- but at least it’s better than small. She’s so bodacious in her little personality that you forget how tiny she is- just long leggied- like her Dadddy was at that age- skinny but long. So we had some grilled salmon, baked ‘taters and sauteed summers squash- then fresh cantelope and peaches for desert- guess you can’t get healthier than that, eh? A lot of work lined up for the week- am going to hit the tubby, rest and massage: and hope I will settle down early-doing Burton’s in the AM. Have a Big fire going west of us-the sun has been RED through the clouds all afternoon, and now the moon is the same. We understand it is our side of Sacramento , Ca. But the smoke is funneling down the passes and our pitiful valley is smoke filled! Hope sleeping isn’t too bad tonight- but MORE hope those folks over there are safe! |
