Aug 11 Am doing ok - just fighting the heat- guess when you’ve had heat-stroke as many times as I have - it tends to get to you. This is the first time in almost 2 weeks it has cooled off by 11:00- so I am headed to bed. I haven’t felt like eating- due to the heat ? The mere thought of food makes me nauceous. But I try to force something in- as most of my “potions” require food on the tummy- and I pay highly if I take them without. A t least by most eves things are ok( when it cools down) high 90’s and 100’s are just not my cup of tea- but at least there’s no humidity!! But 80-90 at 10:00 pm still makes me cranky! Unfortunately the one chance for rain we had brought T-storms- but no water and lots of lighting and therefore fires. We Know it’s natures way of cleaning up and reproducing- but unfortunately there are now humans in those areas.. We had a “shaker” quake yesterday- 5.5 - epicenter just over the hill in Calif. - gave us a good “jolt”, and have felt a few minor since then- but we are long overdue for a big one- closest we’ve come in too many years!! Am still taking all my “potions” - sometimes haphazardly- but I try! But I still ache where they “punctured” me, and when I go back for another mammo in 2 or so months- I’m not buying into that again. I didn’t want to do it the first time- and am not going there the next time. We’ll know if the tumor has grown about my original beliefs on this- and hopefully it will have shrunk- and what I am feeling is just part of the healing process. But get tired fast and seem to require more than normal sleep- 8-10 hrs. downtime-( once up I don’t stop- no naps, etc.). It could be the heat, my working, healing or probably all of the above. But all in all- life is good- Frank and the critters seem to like having me home more- and I sure like it! The bills are getting paid- and in spite of the heat the sunsets are marvelous! What more can one ask for? |
