April 24 Went for the mammo- Frank went with me as we’re down to 1 car- turned out it was a good thing! Dr. Boron read my mammos, and told me he wanted to do a biopsy- he explained the types of calcifications and that mine needed a biopsy to be certain. I went through the previous thing of not being able to have the surgical biopsy(lumpectomy) because of allergies to antibiotics, he said not neccesary he could to a needle and could do it now if I wished. He really didn’t like women with this condition to leave without knowing what they were dealing with. I then told him I had no insurance- was making payments on the mammo he just did, So he informed me He was the owner and I could make payments on the biopsy. I went out and talked to Frank- and had it done. It is not a pleasant experience- but not as bad as I thought it would be. And Dr. Boron and his Tech were so gentle and nice! And I Swear the pressure plate on the machine had a softer plastic because it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as the other place. It’s obvious that it newer equipment- So when you have to stay in there for ever 1/2 hour, it makes life a little easier. I will know the results tomorrow afternoon. I am sore and beat, so am going to have some wine and rest! While Frank makes some dinner. |
